About FindThatThing
What is FindThatThing?
FindThatThing is an independent product directory built for Indian shoppers. We find the viral products that Instagram creators show but never name, and we link them directly on Amazon India.
How we find products
Our team researches trending reels, identifies the exact products shown, and creates detailed pages so you can find them with a simple Google search.
Affiliate disclosure
As an Amazon Associate, FindThatThing earns from qualifying purchases. We also take part in other retailer affiliate programmes and affiliate partner networks. We may earn a commission when you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. See our affiliate disclosure. Our recommendations are independent — we are never paid by brands to feature products.

How we make money
FindThatThing is independently run and supported by affiliate commissions. When you follow a shop link on this site and complete a purchase, we may earn a small commission from that retailer or from an affiliate partner. This commission comes out of the retailer's marketing budget, not from your pocket — the price you pay is identical to going directly to the retailer.
We are an Amazon Associate, which means we participate in the Amazon Associates Program — an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.in. We also take part in other retailer affiliate programmes and affiliate partner networks. The full statement is on our affiliate disclosure page.
What this means for you:
- We never feature a product purely because it pays us more
- We never recommend products we wouldn't show our friends
- We genuinely catalogue products our visitors are searching for, not products pushed to us
If you ever have concerns about a product we've featured or want to suggest a correction, reach out via our Contact page.
Frequently asked questions
What is FindThatThing?
FindThatThing is an Indian product directory that helps you identify and buy the viral products you see in Instagram reels. If you spotted something but do not know what it is called, you can search for it here and get the exact product name plus links to buy it in India.
How do I find a product I saw in an Instagram reel?
The recommended way is Instagram: follow findthatthing.shop and send the reel to it in a DM, and we reply in the chat with where to buy it. You can also copy the reel or post link from Instagram and paste it into the search bar. If you no longer have the link, describe the product in your own words instead — even a rough description or the Hindi or Hinglish name works. FindThatThing shows you what it is called and where to buy it in India.
Can I look up an Instagram reel from ChatGPT or another AI assistant?
Yes. Take the code from the reel link — the part after /reel/ or /p/ — and open findthatthing.shop/reel/ followed by that code. For instagram.com/reel/DWvkAt9kR_G that is findthatthing.shop/reel/DWvkAt9kR_G. The page shows the product if we have it, and lets you ask us to find it if we do not yet.
Is FindThatThing free to use?
Yes. FindThatThing is completely free for shoppers. You can search, browse, and use every feature without paying or creating an account.
How does FindThatThing make money?
FindThatThing earns a small affiliate commission when you buy a product through one of its links. The commission comes from the retailer's marketing budget, so the price you pay is exactly the same as buying from the retailer directly.
Which retailers does FindThatThing link to?
FindThatThing links to trusted Indian retailers, primarily Amazon India, so you can buy the products you discover safely and at the usual price.
FindThatThing is free, independent, and built by one person with no VC money or ad network. If it saved you time finding a product — a chai goes a long way. ☕
No pressure — just genuine appreciation if you do.
